Excellent b.w shot and for me it right choice for the b.e conversion reall yshows up all the deatil and tones in the rocks and shingles! The portrait format is also the right choice and everything is on the thirds rule! good luck with the contest!

Great choice of black and white conversion. Fine POV, focus, details and nice vertical crop.
Someday I hope you try Shooting in monochrome in camera. The results are incredible because you control white Balance in Camera.

A very nice shot. I think it looks all the more imposing in black and white. The detail in the rock face is outstanding and the image has a very broad tonal range. Best of luck in the contest.

This is especially well suited to the black and white! I like this looking up perspective , I see good detail in the slate rock and I like the way the sky is showing the clouds with an opening in the middle. This is well focused, the image is clear, exposure is well managed, nice tonal variations in the B&W. Well composed and presented! Best wishes to you in the contest!
