Nice work here Daphne. I like the pose of the horse as it is dynamic and has a good sense of movement.

The various shades of color on the horse give a wonderful look of dimension and muscle highlights.

The background accents this beautiful horse. Very well done Daphne ~ Steve

Thank you Steve! I have been on here very little promoting my work recently, but then had a bad cycle of health and that gave me time away from other activities. I was wondering if you ever received that link from me on crosses of light I thought I sent but didn't, then resent. But when I went to verify the link in my bookmarks just now, all the information had changed or it was not the page I expected. I liked the original page because it listed endless newspaper articles and accounts, and I don't care for what came up just now. I like reading about the real McCoy and not viewing the videos (some are okay though in my opinion) that try to hand the viewer an interpretation --- something like that. I do appreciate that several depict crosses similar to my first window cross of around 3 months or longer, in being equal sided and within a circle with a center design, but nothing so precisely geometric and 3D as what perplexed me for so long. That said, somehow we humans are like herd animals and don't like to feel totally alone in our experiences, which now many years later I finally realize I am most definitely not alone in. This has been most reassuring, I think especially because my crazy parents envisioned me growing up as some kind of very acetic, well disciplined, half hallucinating without drugs, New Age Moses type of mystic capable of living on air... lol Any phenomena I experienced scared the wits out of me in the event it proved them religiously right! So on and so on.... I still see these crosses from time to time, but nothing repetitive day after day like that first one. Anyway, I hope I got the page with photos and articles to you, and if not, I definitely can't find it now. I'll keep looking though... Daphne

Yes I did get it Daphne. I think it was the latest one as there were not an lot of articles mentioned. But I did get an appreciation of what you are talking about. Fascinating reading.

Congratulations on the Recognized Award. Well deserved! This is so instantly likable to me. You have mastered the art of choosing colors, to say nothing of your fine drawing skills.

Another spirited horse in a beautiful pose. Apparently it is impatient and like not to wait any longer. I like the lovely urban landscape in the background. The colors look realistic. The perspective and the proportions are exact. The painting is well framed. The composition is balanced.

Thank you so much! I am glad you liked this horse! I should probably post it again. I haven't done many reviews recently and am not posting much...

This is a great digital painting! The composition is perfect! The colors are well chosen, they're contrast, but harmonius. The horse itself is near perfect! Attention to the details in all your pieces is like a signiture! I don't motice any mouse or snakes on this piece. Perhaps I need larger screen to see them. :-) bravo, bravisimo!!!

You've captured the majesty and mystique of horses very well with this work Daphne. Keep them coming please. There can never be too much equine art.

How cool, a virtual equine enthusiast! Thank you very much. You just might enjoy the video I did the graphics for if you have not already seen it. I will paste the link. A friend composed the song and sang it, but she is not a professional and has a chronic inflammatory throat condition, but good enough nonetheless I think. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q_zrqXAxO2o&t=35s

Love the lines of the horse and the technique you use to add sheen to horse's coat. The horse rearing up on his hind legs is quite stunning. I also love the soft gentle hues you use for the sunset. Everything works to create quite a striking image. Well Done! :o) Nancy

Thank you so very much! In this figure the shading is actually the darker black and the base color is the lighter color, which is actually very dark green. Putting blacks and greys together just came out flat in the vector program I use, Adobe Illustrator. What digital program do you use? Daphne Oberon

This is a gorgeous animal :) I like the dual tones you created in his coat and how you added an extra color around his ankles. The pose is very nice and the motion in his mane and tail look good.

This is stunning - the horse really stands out from the backdrop, and I love how you have represented the movement of the horse. Great use of colour and light and shade.
