Nice off centered placement of the subject in the frame with enough background elements complementing the giant statue!
What is he made of? Clay?

Gorgeous colors!

Bright lighting.
Pin sharp focusing.
Compact framing.

Nice journalistic capture.
Great story telling factor.
Good perspective & long depth of field...

Thanks for sharing...

Yes. Clay. There are some rules regarding environmental issues since these statues are immersed in the sea. Earlier POP was being used which attracted increasingly hostile comments from environmentalists.
I appreciate your encouraging comments. Thank you so much for your support. Glad you liked it.

This is fabulous - so full of life and colour, and a slice of culture, beautifully presented. Good use of available light, clearly defined lines. A joy to look at

A very fine shot with great colors and excellent composition that shows the crowd attending the festival very well. I like the look on the faces of the celebrants and the building in the background. Best of luck in the contest.

I always look at the facts and reasons. I can see how the elephant would be honoured as a god with humanity in the south before technology gave us cranes etc This strong, huge animal, which however, for all its size, helps humans at times. I only hope it continues after my time.

A beautiful & interesting picture of Ganesh being carried through the streets towards the Arabian Sea for immersion accompanied by worshipers. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.
