Superb up close & very personal!
Can we embossed some more so the scales will be protruding & seemingly palpable?!?
Fine facial features and smooth textures.
Natural colors & subdued illumination.
Wildlife setting makes it more exotic as opposed to those captured in a zoo...

Wow Helvi what a super shot the detail on the skin is superb you can count evey scale and you can almost reach in a touch them! Great to read your notes as well full of useful info!

It is difficult to imagine coming upon a snake in the wild, there are none of course here in Alaska, this is very interesting to view and I especially appreciate your notes, I see very good detail in this female snake and I see the much narrower male in the center, this is fascinating, I like the detail in her face, this is of course, well focused, the image is clear, exposure is well managed, the colors and tones appear natural. Well composed and presented!

Hi Pat, I had no idea there were no snakes in Alaska! That's news to me! I don't see these snakes as much as I'd like but they're usually found close to water sunning themselves. I always walk slowly so as not to scare anything that might be close by. This was a terrific find. Sometime in the near future I'll post the wide shot of the female and the males that was really something to see! Thanks for your super review. I'm honored you enjoyed it. :o) Nancy

Good artists notes and I like the storytelling with your image. Since the eye is so sharp just draws us into your scene. Very well photographed in good lighting, sharp focus, and incredible details and clarity in your image. Outstanding work and thanks for sharing.

A nice tight shot that shows the head of this female in great detail. The cat tails are a nice inclusion for a water snake. Great composition and beautiful colors.
