Yes, I enjoy the shut, Helvi! Fantastic! It took me a few seconds to fugure out who is who. Thanks for very informative notes. The composition with the trio looking to the three different directions is interesting. Thanks for sharing! I bumped it up to the recognized status! ;-)

Thank you so much Lucas for bumping this up to recognized status. I was very happy when I came across these three snakes. To see each of their heads was a bonus too. I'm glad you enjoyed the shot! Thanks for the great review My Young Friend! :o) Helvi

a crazy capture helvi; you Don't indicate if it was captured in your garden or far away; clearly not my prefered animal but an excellent opportunity that you didn't miss;

Hi Super, I actually took this shot a few miles from my house at Great Meadows. It's run by the National wildlife Federation. You can always find good subjects there to take pictures of. It's not my preferred animal either, but I take shots of whatever crosses my path. Thanks for the Great Review My Friend! :o) Nancy

Oh there they are! Troika!
Seldom a threesome with female snakes!
Fantabulous find!
It's really amazing how relatively small the male is!
Sharply focused.
Fine features & textures.
Subdued illumination.
Compact framing.
Good perspective & long depth of field...
Thanks for sharing...

It is funny isn't it! The male is so small compared to the female. I have never come across two females and a male. So this was a great find.Thank you for the wonderful review. It means a great deal to me that you liked the shot! :o)

Hi Sange, The snakes were only a few feet away over a small embankment. I knew they were not poisonous so I wasn't worried. It was a real thrill for me to find them and able to capture the shot. To know you liked it means a lot to me. Thanks for the wonderful review My Friend! :o) Helvi

I would not like to come up on these guys! You captured good detail of the scales. The smallest one looks so much different than the other two. I like that the place you go has a chalkboard for sightings too!

Hi Envision, These snakes were not poisonous so I didn't mind approaching them. Loved how they were positioned too, so I could see their heads. It does seem strange that the male is so much smaller than the female. His head only look a third of the size of the female. Thanks for the great review...... I love the chalkboard too! :o) Nancy

This is indeed unique. I had to look close, indeed see three snakes. One head of a female is in the right upper corner, the other female near the left low corner. The head of the male is above her. The male stands actually out because he has also a brown tint especial visible at the light spots. The photo is well focused. It has good color and depth and is well balanced and framed.
