A very fine image of this khaki cambell duck. Good outline and details are picked up. Good focus and use of light. I particularly like how the sunlight falls here and highlights the one background casting interesting shadows and also highlights on the duck's back. Its a lovely shot.

I was debating , before I read your copy, and had concluded it looked more like a duck than a goose, not sure why. Nice shot of the duck showing its structure, coloring, markings and feathers. Clear focus. Nice catch light. Well done.

Loll Sange knows it all for sure, great couture, perfect in negative and positive space , well framed , genuine exposure , contrast and lighting are natural - a sharp shot with lots of shadow and light zones - all the best for the contest

My pleasure M.A,

I would have thought the neck was too long for a duck, although it looks like one. Great shot, and the shadows bring out the duck's plumage very well. Nice focus and positioning.

Duck,Duck,Goose!-DUCK!!! A very interesting looking waterfowl which reminds me of some of the mallard x farm duck hybrids we sometimes see here.Interesting artists notes to go along with this interesting specimen with monochromatic coloring.Best of luck in the contest with this image!

The bird is well focused. The photo shows good detail of plumage and body of the bird and the colors appear realistic. The bird is well placed into the frame. The composition is balanced. I hope Sange can identify the bird. Since photographed in Venice it is probably an local European species. I have an interest in bird species. Please, let me know when you get an identification.

thanks a lot cleo for your nice comments;
as you can imagine, Sandra has identified it: it is a Khaki Campbell Duck; The Campbell is a British breed of domestic duck;

I would guess that this is a domestic goose, but really don't know. It is a nice looking bird that brings to mind visions of orange sauce. A nicely composed shot with sharp details that should enable anyone with knowledge these fowl to be able to identify it.
