Wow this one is really amazing. I love silhouettes! The sky and water are really well rendered and show Alot of detail. The oranges and yellows are really nice. The shape of the tree is eye catching and makes for an awesome initial impact. Really good work!

I like knowing your thought process behind your photography.....beautifully written artists notes that bare the soul. A powerful and dynamic scene with a alone tree so nicely silhouetted with the movement of the ocean behind and the wonderful sunset distorted in the sky. A creative and talented moody scene and thanks for sharing!

Wow. Thank you so very much Mary Lynn. Your review means a lot to me. Ever since my stroke I have been having these mood swings. Yesterday morning I felt very sad (I don't know why) and pulled this scene up. I just stared at it and the words came for the poem. I think it was a healing thing for me. Not used to this. I could never have written such a poem if not for all the swirling feelings going on inside. So I guess that is one positive to being messed up ; ) Didn't mean to go on like that. Just wanted you to know the story behind this one Mary Lynn.

Thank you so much for always being there and for your wonderful comments and Grand rating. Very encouraging. Be well my friend ~ Steve

Steve, this is wonderful! I am happy to read the message and to see your amazing poem and photo creation. The sky and a poem reminds me of Dave's style. I hope all the negative feeling disappear when a person live in light.

Moses received a burning bush you received a burning sky.
This is a true "Be still and know Moment" where you understand God is on the throne in control and you are where you need to be.
Joshua 1:9~
"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous.Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."

On the days when you feel your cries/ prayers just hit the ceiling... Look Up....just keep breathing and believing.

Fine capture Steve. The low key style mixed with a sunset color and majestic sky are all lovely.

Nice work.

Like instead of the Burning Bush the Burning Sky and the lonely bush. I wouldn't doubt this was shot in Mexico -- it looks like a sight I have seen many of, though without the special effects. My rating is as much for your eloquent pros as your great image of the expressive bush against the fiery spiderweb sky! My sincere admiration! Daphne Oberon

A very dramatic image posted here! Your fine, full and central composition offers us a good sense of the location before you. Those colours and swirling clouds are very suggestive of a troubled sunset. Exposure and sharpness are OK. A nice work!

I like the brilliance of the colors in this image and the shape of the tree is just as attractive. The darkness of the silhouette create a nice contrast and seem to emphasize the colors. The poetry is also very nice.

That's a very nice poem to go with your art. I really like your background. It would be interesting to know what filters you used to distort the sky. The colors on the waves are also very pretty. The background really sets off your silhouetted tree. Very nice

Thank you so much Patti for your review and comments. Glad you liked the poem. I used the "Liquify" filter in Photoshop to create the background sky. I am just learning about PS. It can do so many cool things. Thank you again Patti ~ Steve
