TREE OF LIFE

Its true. Sometimes darkness spreads through our emotions and we feel lonely. We actually never are, because there is always light which emerges from the blackness and pulls us back because it engulfs us just as the impressive sky behind the lone barren tree. The tree clings still to the ground and soon the tree will not be barren anymore. It will recover to new life and birds will build their nest between the branches. The composition illustrates the poem well. The mixed media is well balanced and framed.

Wow, What a amazing piece of art. The colors in the sky are so sweet, I feel like I'm seeing tracers in the sky . Complimented by probably one of the coolest looking trees I have ever seen. Very cool, and there are also time I have to stop and enjoy all of the Holy Wonders myself. It was a beautiful poem. Thanks John

Very cool filter work, Steve. Looks fabulous! Great colors and lighting. The sky is quite something with the neat swirls. The tree stands alone, but not really as your beautiful poem eloquently says. Immensely effective and meaningful. Ed.

Your poem plus the "Shroud of Heaven," with its diaphanous sunset weave that you have created as a back drop for "YOUR TREE of LIFE,is breath taking. Behind it,is the parting of the waters that all of us should walk through on our path to the Celestial City.
Cordially,
Joanna Bachman

Hi Steve, This definitely shows the power of GOD'S Light! I suffer from an anxiety disorder that makes me fear EVERYTHING! I feel so Blessed that GOD gave me the gift of photography. I find pure serenity being out among GOD'S WONDERS! To be able to share that here and create wonder for the viewer or make them smile makes me incredibly happy. There is always light where there is darkness! Love the intensity of that that in this image. The strong rays of light in this image so emit that feeling.
In this review I wanted to tell you more about me so you'd know where this review was coming from. It has more than just a mere "WOW!" factor! It is amazing and so worth more than just a six star review! :o) Nancy

Thank you so much Nancy, not simply for the review and rating but also for sharing a part of your self. I was a psychotherapist working with many people with anxiety disorders and combat veterans dealing with PTSD and other trauma issues.

I used to have anxiety issues. Then one day it all changed. I suddenly realized (was shown) that my anxiety was based in no small part in Not Trusting or Believing in what God IS. It was True.

It hit me like a bolt of light that is impossible to describe. What I saw was an image of me going to the movies and arriving 10 minutes early. I got my ticket, went into the theater and sat down. I saw the final 10 minutes of the movie. I knew how it ended. The lights came on, people filed out and a new group filed in. The show started. All during the show the people would OOO and AHH and Fret about what was going to happen to the main character, the hero. They were filled with anxiety. But for me, I was relaxing and really enjoying the movie. I Knew how it Ended.

Well I was shown that God not only Knows how our movie ends, HE Wrote the thing! And guess what? It all turns out GOOD, just as HE said. So now I enjoy my movie. Yes there are good and not so good parts, and that is what makes life so interesting. I have been in a rather dark place since my stroke which gives me big mood swings. Such an emotional rollercoaster. I think that is why I posted this and wrote the poem this morning. Yet I know the End Result is that it all Ends Very Well. Hey remember, HE Wrote The Script. So let's enjoy our movie Nancy. Keep your Wonderful images coming for the Others. We each have a mission that has to do with others. That too is part of our movie.

Be well and could you please pass the popcorn? ~ Steve

Hi Steve, Thank you for your lovely response to my review. I've fallen into a dark hole that you couldn't climb out of many a time but God always threw me a rope to pull myself out. I may lose my grip from time to time and slide down the rope, but I've never let go.

The only way I could really tell you I felt your image was to tell you about me. I wanted you to know that thru your image and poetry I could see where you were coming from. On this site I think it's not only important to tell someone they have good technique but also how you felt about the image. I know I'm eager to find out what viewers think.

I see that you nominated me for Reviewer of the Month. That means a great deal to me! Thank you SO MUCH for that wonderful honor.! :o) Nancy

Even without the swirling effect Steve tis would have been good, but somehow it adds that extra dimension, simplicity is the key sometimes and the tree does that, good message as well, articulate comes to mind, well done..Brian

Aw thanks VO. I think posting this one this morning and then just allowing the words to come was helpful. These mood swings are a real trip. Not all bad I guess as it gives me some insight into feelings and what ever is going on. So life is Good. Thank you so much for your kind review and Wonderful rating VO ~ FS

Very interesting piece. Great colors. The base silhouette works well, but it looks like it may be getting a bit of a halo around it. I like the effects of the various filters. Nice reflections on the water. Well done.

Thank you Charles. Yes the halo was a result of fooling around with this and I couldn't get rid if it. Good catch ~ Steve

I find that sometimes over sharpening creates a halo and you are right it is difficult to eliminate.
