Very well done. I really like the way you rendered the colors and captured the character line in his face. That gentle smile and those eyes tell a story of one who has seen and experienced many things.

A person once wrote (me in fact) that "Wisdom cannot be taught. It can only be learned".

I think you captured that spirit here. Good show ~ Steve

Thanks so much for your wonderful review of my work. I agree that the subject's eyes and smile tell a story of the interesting life he must have led. Faces such as this inspire me. Thank you again for your review.

The wisdom of the old!
Fantabulously personified indeed!
Those wrinkles signifies a lot!
Knowledge, experience, hardships, achievements, etc!

Can I say this is a dichromatic rendition?!?

Crisp & clear outlines.
Neat strokes, as usual...

Thanks for Sharing!

Oh, you did a wonderful job. One can feel the merriment within by viewing his sparkling eyes. The white hair and age lines are soft and create the feeling that one might like to know this gentle man.

I'm with you. I would like to know this gentle man as well. When creating this piece I took care to show the viewer the light I saw in the subject. I'm glad you saw that light too.

A very fine image with a great expression and fantastic eyes. Now that I am 75 many people mistakenly assume that I have greater insight into things than is the case.

Wow! This is a very well rendered drawing of this older gentleman, his face is full of character, well shaped with good structure, well shown facial features , especially his eyes that bring him to life, he has a lot of stories that he could tell, he is wise and the wisdom shows in his face, well shown texture and the character lines , his pleasant smile, all comes together so very well,I like his shirt with the tab button on each shoulder . Very impressive work indeed! Well presented!
