I love owls. There eyes are so expressive, and this one has lovely golden peepers. Even though they don't share vivid plumage of other birds, their more neutral colored feathers give them a dignified appearance. Beautiful creature!

A very nice picture and a fine entry for this contest. I might have tried for a little lower perspective so that you could be looking straight into the eyes. The colors are great and the details are very sharp. Best of luck in the voting.

Beautiful owl, well photographed with good focus, the image is clear, exposure is well managed, the colors and tones are so beautiful and they appear natural, I see nice detail in the feathers, face and beak, the owl is looking down but I can see his golden eyes very well!
