Well done Susan. Great composition, framing focus and dof and I love the colors. Almost looks like he is falling off the cage and is trying to keep his balance. Definitely deserves to be Recognized. Thanks for sharing.

Nice shot. I like the framing with the fuchsia on the left side to balance the feeder. It is not a great stop action shot, but it is a good action blur shot. The body of the bird is well seen. Good color, nice explanation. Well done.

A nice capture of the action. I like the action of the wings. I would tone down the red in the upper left corner a bit as it takes away from the subject of the photo. Overall the composition is nice. Good work.

It always is exciting to have a new visitor. The blur of the wings could work if the bird were in flight as opposed to landing. I always take the shutter speed up to 2000 if I'm trying to stop the action. Don't you wish you could reset and retake the shot. I know I often do.

Charlie,
Thanks a million for your complementary review. This was taken with Auto settings..I did not expect to see this bird in my Garden so all I could do was pick up my camera point & shoot it's a Compact Camera always beside me. This was the best of five shots.

I know how tough that is. Fortunately, there will be a next time.

It is a fun event when you get to see a new bird or one that you don't get to see often. I have never seen of one these guys before. He looks a little like the goldfinches we have here.

Adrian,
Thanks a million for your complementary review on this once common Greenfinch. Only the second time in 30 years that I've lived in this house that the finches have breed.
