It still makes me shake my head to think of these kinds of shots being taken at 11 pm. Really beautiful. The winding river moving into the frame is very appealing. The beautiful sky and clouds just stunning. A very lovely shot.

Thank you so very much Donna! It?s what I love the most about Alaska ! Daylight ! And during the summer it doesn?t get very dark at all!

Serene scene.
Exotic vista.
Vanishing viewpoint lends a greater depth...
Nice painterly feel...

Gorgeous skyline.
Subdued illumination.
Diminishing perspective gives a glimpse to infinity.....

Thanks for sharing...

I can't believe this is a night shot!:) Taken at 11 pm? Unbelievable light! Superb shot of the landscape using the 'night' light!:) The light and shadows, colours and the composition have worked out well. Good effort!

I thought I would wait until 11pm to write this review and am here to tell you it is dark as hell here in Michigan. A very fine shot no matter what the hour. The composition is excellent as usual and the colors are fantastic.

Thank you Mike! For the review and for making me laugh! Sunset tonight is 11:42, and after that it doesn?t get completely dark, it?s just a little bit dark.

I love the sky in this piece. The several layers of clouds are just lovely. I like the meandering waterway and the marsh grasses. Makes me want to walk along the boardwalk. And breathe in the pristine air.

Very nice crystal clear landscape. I like the wooden walkway that leads us back into the scene (Could have had a little more of it.) Nice leading line with the water as well. Lovely mountains in the background. Good perspective. Good color. Great sky. Well seen.

To me as a Brit sunset after 11.00pm is definitely weird! Your enjoyable image benefits from being well composed with good exposure and sharpness. Looks like 6.00pm in Britain! Nicely done!

Pat.
A very beautiful picture of Potter's Marsh shortly before sunset with the sky still blue & the sun bright. The river curving through the marsh with the sky reflected on it's surface leads the eye into the picture 7 the snow capped mountains in the distance.. Beautiful & peaceful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.
Here in Dublin sunset was t at 9.55pm but even now at 10.50pm there is still some light in the sky. The sun will rise just after 4am.
