The white balance, contrast detail and structure of this photo show that you had your camera set just right for this photo. The limited amount of green in the background setting makes the rhododendron bloom stand out perfectly. Well done.

A wonderful capture of rhododendron. Good light. Now I know what grows in Pennsylvania. Some of the blossoms in Michigan have already died. On another note the background could of been blur.

Nice full frame Crop Meg.
It almost has a Selective color look that allows the flower to stand out. Nice focus, crisp details and nice placement within the frame.

This is beautiful and it's a flower that I don't see very often, it's so frilly, like a little girls party dress, I love the mauve tones, I see nice detail on the petals and in the stamens too, I like this Square framing and the supporting greenery as background. This is well focused, the image is clear, exposure is well managed, colors and tones are natural. Well composed and presented!
