I love these birds and think it is a shame that I only see them in passing while the mute swans here as long as there is open water. A fine shot with great details and beautiful colors.

Pat, this is excellent!

I love how you posed this swan among the blowing reeds and grasses.

Fine details to be seen and love that you got that catchlight in the eyes!

Quite a nice nature shot posted here! Your fine and off-centre composition offers us a good look at your swan. I am a little puzzled by the orange/brown colour on its neck? Here in Britain swans do not have this! Exposure and sharpness are good. Well taken!

Thank you so very much! The coloring on her neck and face is from the minerals in the water, she spends a lot of time with her head and neck in the water. I appreciate your thoughtful review!

Excellent close up of this beautiful Trumpeter Swan pat. White balance is controlled well here and the stop action of the tall grasses swaying in the breeze is fab.
Great focus with fine details.

The position of the swan is exactly as it should be in this composition. The detail, structure and sharpness of the feathers is well done and not over done. The color and contrast shows well between the stained neck feathers from pulling vegetation and the white feathers. The grass is vibrant and provides the perfect background.

KODAK MOMENT ALERT LEVEL 10 !!! Well this guy is certainly intent on finding out what's going on Pat. I love the details in the feather. The shading is good all over and the color on his neck was brought out well

Your title made me wonder if it trumpeted with a strange accent :-). Good clear shot showing the swan possibly nesting in the high grass. Good clear focus, well controlled light. Nicely done.
