This image perfectly captures the theme of this contest and should be the winner from the entries I have seen so far. This must be a spectacular site when filled with straw and set ablaze. I hope you can capture that next year. Where was this taken?

thanks Linda for the good comments,was at Lowestoft Suffolk in uk,do have a photo when it was covered in straw,but yes do want to see this lite up and ablaze

A very striking shot. I like the perspective that makes the wire frame of the man seem so imposing; it could easily be a piece of sculpture. Beautiful colors and great composition .

Thanks fred for the comments,not a cityscape by any stretch of imagination,its a beach scene stretching to the promenade/hotel in the background,i do try to look for different things rather than typical tourists shots.

This tall "Dude" would look so cool on fire or with Christmas lights! Great angle, sharp focus, fab leading line of the beach hugs and fantastic colors.

Sounds like and looks like some wild Viking festival took place in your location! I reckon that a strong trend is developing in producing these metal wire sculptures in Britain because we have seen several. Exposure and sharpness are good. Well done!

Very interesting sculpture and story to go with it, I have seen a similar festival here, this is well focused, the image is clear, exposure is good, nice detail in this metal sculpture with bits of straw left over. Well composed with a nice placement of this metal man in the frame. Well presented!

Very impressive photo. This statue which is burnt out straw, is amazing and you have certainly done it justice. It is clear and well focused with an informative background and great sky to compliment the main subject. Interesting notes too. Hope you make it next year.
