Pat I think that this is stunning! I can give a 6 for I dont have any! I would go into all the reasoning about the image I think it speaks for itself!! I am going to say that a congrats of winning this months traditional photography award in advance for I think this is going to win, I am in the same contest but even mine is second to this one!

I like the contradiction of fore- and background very much. The background looks very real while the foreground has the apperance of an abstract painting. I am amazed by the pattern of the air bubbles beneath the ice. The photo is focused and has beautiful depth. It is especially well composed and framed. The reflections are intriguing. The colors are pleasant and look natural.

Wonderful capture Pat.
The trapped bubble shapes are fascinating. The are also leading lines to the background drawing the viewer into the scene.
The background hill is framed by the side hills and the warm color draws you in.
Just a great image, I would be proud to have taken this one for sure!

6 if I had it. Very different and eye catching. Has great impact. Those bubbles and floes are quite abstract and artful. A great back drop. Such good positioning. Focus and colours a are perfect.
