A beautiful portrait. I like the soft light that gives you such fine shadowless details. I like the tight composition and the plaintive look in the boy's eyes. Best of luck in the contest.

The expression in the eyes emplies interest on the photographer and the camera. It seems the child loikes that its portrait is taken. There is also some sadness hidden in those eyes and the half-smile. The colors are prealistic. Thephoto is focused and has good depth. The background is unobstrusive. I personally think that the framing is too tight above and below. Perhaps a tall format would have been a better choise.
