An interesting picture of the Badlands in South Dakota the spiky rock formations each one unique stretching out as far as the eye can see the rocks worn away over eons of milinia by the action of wind, rain, frost & ice on the rocks creating the interesting shapes. Beautiful composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus.

Diminishing perspective.
Vanishing viewpoint lends a greater depth...
Enhancing density saturation a bit would greatly improve the image...
(A bit against the light on the left frame...)
Nice letterbox framing.
Monochromatic foreground with a cool skyline as backdrop...

im sure at night time does feel like on the moon..so cool. the angle of the shot of this rugged terrain is great. the clarity is great. the capture of the light is great. the image is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. good eye and great job overall.

Interesting shot. I remember going there as a kid when we lived in SD. Reminded me of the moon. Just a suggestion, you might want to bring up the saturation a bit to give it a little more pop. Thanks for sharing.

This shot drew me in as soon as I viewed it and it made me want to pack my bags and go there. The focus is excellent. Colors, white balance, exposure, detail and white balance all are very well done.

Very nice! I like the lines throughout the photo. I love the Badlands...they are so beautiful and you have captured it so well. The depth of field and focus are wonderful and I love the couple little bushes in the middle of the photo!

A very unique and impressive landscape image,it does look like something you would expect to see on the moon or some alien planet.Very good focus and wonderful dof,you can see the the different layers of sediment in the towering formations.The blueness of the sky contrasts against the desolation of this landscape. A great image,thanks for sharing!

Your photo is also pin sharp with clear and well defined details, and the exposure is just spot on.
It is fine leading lines bringing the viewer up to the rocks in the background, and it is a fine balance in the composition. A truly great looking and well taken photo, and with an excellent DOF.

Except for the blue sky this could be indeed have been taken at the moon. The rugged stone formations are impressive. I have seen those badlands and know that the colors are realistic. The photo has good sharpness and depth. The natural light is used nicely. The shadows at left emphasize the harshness of the area. The photo is also well framed.

The depth to this is fabulous, love those rocky tops they make a superb backdrop across the skyline!, love all those textures and detail in the foreground amazing image of this amazing place!
