A remarkable bit of scenery that could easily be from some lifeless moon were it not for that single weed growing in the rocks. A nice composition with great details in the rocks.

I have visited the Badlands and they are truly bad. There are a lot of sharp rocks and the place I visited didn't have any greenery. I gave the six because you found a bush in the middle of all of these rocks. That's not the only reason, though. The focus in this photo is clear and crisp. The beautiful blue sky shows a nice contrast to the rocks. Excellent!

This looks like the one I just reviewed, this could very well be the surface of the moon, your image shows the textures so very well, it looks very warm and dry here, this is well focused, the image is clear, exposure is well managed, colors and tones appear natural, well composed under the pale blue sky with nice cloud detail, well presented!

I remember as a kid visiting the North Dakoda Badlands. They and the badlands of South Dakoda are some of the most beautiful places in the West.
Good POV here as you got the rocks and what little plant life there is in the foreground naturally leading the eye to the striated layers which makes this place so special.
Thanks for the memories Nik. Well done ~ Steve
