OK this reminds me of the cover from the Smashing Pumpkins album, "Melancholy and The Infinite Sadness". Thanks for sharing.

This is absolutely charming, I just love the theme and idea with the sun and moon both looking and smiling at each other as if friends! Also love the twinkling of those stars in the night sky, lovely work on those fun type houses, fabulous warmth not only with the colours but the happy nature of the painting, its a very romantic and personal take on this and I can only think of that person, figure sitting on the moon is based on you ! I would give a 6 if I had any left!! A great contest entry!

What a whimsical scene and perfect for the "Moon and Stars Art" contest.

Many good details in this one and I like the colors that you chose.

You accomplished The main Thing: To really Enjoy doing what your talents allow you to do. If only everyone could experience that.

Great work and all the best in the contest ~ Steve

Lovely whimsical watercolour which looks like a perfect illustration for a children's story. Also, perfect entry for the contest. Love the subtle colours you used for this and the faces on the Moon, stars and girl. Very imaginative composition. Good luck in the contest. Suzanne

This would be a great page in a children's story book. It has all the elements of happiness and comfort that I believe a child would find very inviting. The colors also are attractive and compliment one another.

This is fantastic! I feel like I have just turned a page in a storybook about the moon and the stars ! This is so very well thought out and created, it's truly a pleasure to study the details you have applied and the colors you chose for each part, I love the whimsical moon and star with the faces, the fairy sitting up on the moon surrounded by the blue sky full of tiny stars, above a street lined with houses that are absolutely delightful to see! I love the shape , structure
And colors of each house! This is very well created and arranged, well presented! Very best wishes to you in the contest!

Well, I think you just convinced me to not even think about entering this contest! I'm pretty sure you might just have the winner right here! This is so well done and so colorful I'm happy to be able to give it 6 stars. This would be perfect as a poster - or better yet - a mural in a little girl's room. I can tell this took a lot of time and effort. Well done!

Dave

Wow, David! You just made my day. Thank you so much for this stellar (pun intended) review of my work. I have been thinking of creating a children?s book and this is the first illustration that fits the storyline. Please enter the contest. One never knows what will happen in the polls.

You are welcome! No, I won't enter the contest because then I would probably vote for my own and I want to vote for this one! ;)
