Very nice work. The initial impact, drew my eye because of the breed of dog, and the color is so unusual. The head tilt, see threw ear and his eyes are so beautifully done. This would make a great mural piece.

This is a cute dog! I like how you created such a sweet looking pose with the head tilted to one side. The facial features and ears look very realistic and the colors are appealing.

I really like how you shaded this piece. I think it looks like you spent a lot of time on the head/face and not much time on the neck & ears. I think if you made that equally as detailed as the face you could improve the balance of the piece.

I thought that the head should be the focus area. The eyes will autonmatically take in the rest of the details. This is not a very realist painting in that sense. More expressionist. Thanks so very much for your time and the review! I really appreciate it!

This is a very nice drawing of a handsome dog, though I wouldn't call him cute. The eyes have lots of expression, and the tilted head adds interest. Effective colors. He looks like a wonderful pet.

This is indeed a cute dog, and I like the way he is tilting his head. I just love the golden brown colors, and also the very fine textures. They add a lot to this picture in my opinion.
The dog is done paying very good attention to details, and the brush strokes are very fine. Very nice shadings and outlines as well.
The format and framing is very good and the dog is well placed on the paper. It is a good balance between positive and negative place. A truly lovely and well done water color painting, and I wish you luck with the contest.
