This is very well done Linda. I think you captured the essence of Summertime with this one.
Thank you for your artist notes. Interesting how you turned the paper over to do the reflection. Your patience really paid off in getting all the reflections so well.

your boy is well placed and his reflection is excellent - fantastic shadow and light application - this image somehow reflects love for nature, union with the elements , peace and joy to be free - well done

Great job and story! Im impressed. Id say that's some heavy paper to paint on but then again I don't know anything about painting.. This picture touches me tho as I have similar pictures from a few weeks ago. My granddaughters first time at the ocean and I have many pictures just like this painting as well as one I flipped upside down as to have the reflection first on top..
great creativity choice and follow through.

It is a very good image of summer with a child running on a beach, and I especially like the fine reflection of the boy in the wet sand. I also like the limited color pallet where blue colors are dominant.
The painting is done paying good attention to details, and I like the feel of motion. The brush work is nice and smooth.
The format and framing is very good and with the boy placed off to the left, it is a fine balance in the composition. It is a lovely and well done water color painting, and I wish you luck with the contest.
