You've not only shown the veins but also chosen such bright colours, allowing us to see right through the leaf.
I also like the way you used tour filters as I can feel the leaf's presence as though it were right here with us.

This leaf really has been study in order to design it with such perfection- a great macro contest entry - I think you show perfection in the body shape of a leaf - your background composition fits perfectly - shadow and light application let your leaf stand out beautifully - I love the rotten part as you really have created the reality impression, well done, all the best for the contest

This is a pleasing macro image of a fall leaf. I like the way the golds glow and seem to illuminate the rusty reds. The veining is delicate and the shadows are deep.

I like the placement of the leaf and the darkened edges that accentuate the shape of the outline. I think the lighting is dramatic and adds extra interest to the image.

When I first saw this I thought No Way is this Art. This has to be a photograph. Wow. This is so dramatic and immediately captures the eye and holds it to explore the entire leaf.
The details are amazing. I love the veins running throughout the yellow portion of the leaf. Those sharp and dark edges look like jagged teeth. Very Dramatic.
