Mike,
A very beautiful,& dramatic picture of the trailing flowering Spirea branch with a male Oriole in flight at the top his flight feathers outspread like fingers & all movement his wings frozen by your fast exposure. Artistic composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus.

A very good entry into the competition posted here! Your fine composition does a good job of capturing an enjoyable in flight moment. Like that branch and the wing. Sharpness and exposure are good. Well done and good luck!

This is a wonderful shot of nature. The drooping branch with tiny flowers in bloom looks beautiful.You have timed it well with the bird taking off. The light and shadows, colours and the composition have worked out well. Good effort!

The shape of the branch with the cluster of flowers is really cool. Makes for a pretty composition. The oriole adds nice color and his flight looks good. I like that he has something in his beak as he's flying off. The flowers are attractive.

I can see why you wanted to shoot the flower and the oriole was an added bonus. I like the action you have of it taking off. Good details and colors. well done.

a great entry mike to the action contest; the very long spirea branch is already worth a picture but this beautiful black and yellow bird captured in flight just at the top makes this pic exceptional;

    Thank you very much. I only got three shots before the bird was gone and consider myself very lucky to have gotten this one. Thanks again.

Wow Mike, I just love this image. Especially the flower!
I know the bird is an essential part, but if it were mine I'd make a card just from the bloom and soft watery appearance of the background!
It's outstanding from an artistic point of view! Beautiful work!

WOW interesting capture and really attractive initial impression - you are a specialist in perfect second shots as this bird is flying over this branch and you got him in the perfect position on the top - I love the coincidence of his open and turning wings just like the branch is turning down - excellent view point and perspective
your shot is clear and sharp with perfect contrast and lighting , beautiful framing and natural enhancement by the genuine background colors well reacted,well done
