This is a good entry for this contest! The action is well shown in the blurs, it's immediately obvious that this is a foot race! The one foot with the running shoes with lime green laces and trim really stand out and draw the viewer in, it is unexpected in this scene! I can see this runners other foot too and I really like the black and blue with that lime green! This is well presented Allan and I wish you the best in this contest!

Thanks Pat for your nice review. I just tried for something different with this shot. I guess the shoe is not blurred as it was planted on the road for a split second when the shutter went off. Otherwise the image likely would not have worked for me. Thanks again!

Allan, great job! I was thinking that for sure you used some editing or special effects! What setting did you have on your camera to get that effect? This captured the action perfectly! Even the colors are great, not too much or too little.

Hi Darlene, thanks for your interest in this photo. It was shot with a Sony A6300, ISO-640, f/7.1, 89 mm focal length, 1/15th second shutter. I used shutter priority at 1/15 second to assure anything moving was blurred. I think the one shoe was in focus as it was planted on the ground for a moment when the shutter fired. I call this shot more luck than skill, but somehow I ended up liking it anyway! :)

Thanks again for your kind words.
