Hi Steve, because of the colors in this I decided to call it "Meteoric Ember". I like the green fire that seems to be burning from within it, along with the shades of green on the surface. I can see it burning somewhere in the galaxy, soaring thru space.
Very cool! You really make us think with your abstracts. By the way Thank you again for the Honorable mention for Abstract 4. :o) Nancy

    Hey Nancy,

"Meteoric Ember" is a very cool name. I can see this burning through space glowing in the vast silence.

Thank you for the review and title Nancy. The Honorable Mention was well deserved ~ Steve

Hi Steve, I could just see your abstract as a burning meteor. I pictured it in meteor shower with a glowing green tail. Glad you liked my title for your 5th abstract. :o) Nancy

Title: View from the Deep"

I see a newly discovered form of life rising from the ocean floor. It has the darkness of very deep ocean water with little light penetrating the depths where life that survives take on the appearance and coloration of their surroundings.

Cool Charlie. "View from the Deep". I like it. I had not thought of unknown life rising from the ocean floor. The glow of the luminous light enabling it to survive in total darkness. That is way cool.

Great imaginative title Charlie. Thank you for the review and comments ~ Steve

Steve, this is obviously an asteroid in the same solar system as the planet Krypton, which has just exploded (see the green glow!). On Earth this asteroid was known as Kryptonian Asteroid Rugosus Laganus (wrinkled pancake), or KARL for short. Therefore, I shall name this image "The Demise of KARL". Excellent MM work Steve, and I'm glad you escaped the explosion zone in time! Your real name wouldn't be Kal-El, would it?

Dave

LOL. Man I haven't laughed this much is a long time David. That is just a great review! "The Demise of KARL" is just so cool.

I think the term "Wrinkled Pancake" came from the Ancient Ones who unfortunately were unable to fly (due mainly because they simply could not spell "Kripton" correctly) and compared their being bound on the ground as being like "A Wrinkled Pancake Stuck Like Chuck". Now I cannot verify that for sure. I could be wrong.

All I know is that everybody loved KARL and his demise sent shock waves through the atmosphere. Very traumatic event.

Thanks for the Great commentary and Fabulous title David ~ Steve

P.S. My real name is El-Kal (The Blob Fish) I hated that name and changed it to STEVE (Super Tough Even Violent Entity). Man they respect me Now!

Thank you Kelly. "The sun warms up the nameless tarpits" is actually a very cool title. I can see this as an ancient tarpit that is being warmed by the sun and is beginning to glow. Cool.

Thank you again Kelly for your review and title ~ Steve

The lighting of this creation is especial impressive. The subject seems a fire imprisoned in a shell of granite.
I would call it "Captivated Memories" because it reminds me of those memories which we bury deep in or mind, but remain adamant. Those memories which hunt our dreams because we lost someone or something and it is hard to remember...

I like the colors and texture but would have liked it more if it had variation of some sort, it has a majestic feeling that I like also. Maybe brighter colors would have also looked good.

This reminds me of a rock travelling through space because of the wonderful glow, so my suggestion will then be "Travelling through Space". I just love the great textures you have brought out, and the shiny surface of the gigantic rock. I also like the blue and green hues surrounding it, and how they blend into each other.

It is a great sharpness, well defined details and great light in this image, and it has a strong visual impact. It is also this kind of image when you see something new every time you have a new look.

I think this is a truly impressive and well done abstract Steve.

Thank you very much Annie for your review and your Wonderful Title. "Traveling Through Space" is just right as this does remind me of a comet or rock traveling through space and being heated by a star and it begins to glow.

Great title Annie and Thank you again ~ Steve

Wow! Initially I am blown away by the colors and textures and the lighting in this one Steve! It's such a rich combination of colors all emphasized with the black that runs all through it, it's like a creature that I am not able to identify is actually coming out of the darkness , his ear and eye and the top of his head are all in the light, ,I'm guessing that this could have originated from rock, I am bad at titles, I think I'd title this : Beware of The Dark.. just because this creature would scare me if I was meeting it in person! Awesome and creative, if I don't try to make something out of it it's truly a beautiful work of art!

This is a really creative piece. To me it looks like green flames on top of an outcrop of rock. I am not sure what an appropriate title would be, but I do enjoy this photograph! Overall a job well done.
