A wonderful stop action photo of this Grey Heron in the process of swallowing a dark coloured fish a sunbeam highlighting it's head & neck & a patch of the bank behind the Heron. Artistic composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus. Reminds me of a very fine coloured pen & ink drawing you might find in a Victorian Bird book before photography was in colour.

A quite striking nature shot presented here. Wow! It must have a pretty big mouth and throat!! The feather detail is very impressive. Sharpness and exposure are fine. Nicely done!
