A gorgeous shot of the baby ducklings along with your beautiful reflection at the lake. Love all the expressions captured on their faces. Very well photographed with good lighting and sharp focus with nice details and clarity in your image. Your storytelling is a sad one....nature can be so cruel. Outstanding work and thanks for sharing this heart warming shot of the adorable ducklings.

They are so sweet Fred, and it is really a pity that they all have been eaten by a fish. At least you managed to take a fine photo of them before this happened, and I especially like the fine reflections you have captured.

The photo is also sharp and it is indeed clear and well defined details to be seen in all the ducklings. I also think the exposure is spot on.

I like the format you have cropped the photo into, and also the placement of the ducklings within the frame. I think this is a truly sweet and well taken photo, and with an excellent DOF.

This makes me very sad! This is why we don't like Pike, although my brother in law fishes for them and says they are delicious ! Five precious babies on the water close together, I like the reflections too! They are so tiny and vulnerable ! It's so sad that they didn't make it! This is well focused, the image is clear, exposure is well managed, colors and tones are natural. Well composed and presented!

This is so cute, they really look peaceful and the gentle reflections on the water add to the quietness of this. It's so sad they are gone, but lovely to have captured this

Well! Sad indeed! But then how nature works in the food chain department. May be at the grown up stage they might have become Peking ducks!:) Nice shot in memory of these poor ducklings. Thanks for sharing!

these are mallard ducks: not appropriate for Peking duck

A beautiful shot and a lovely memorial for these five ducklings. I like the panoramic presentation and sharp detail in their downy plumage.

What a shame, they are so cute. But that is the way of nature. Nice shot of these sleeping babes. Good focus and details. Good colors. Good reflections.

The ducklings are placed exactly as they should be in the frame. Reflections are well done against the relatively dark background. Photo is sharp and clear. Story is sad, we have the same problem with snapping turtles here.

Sounds like a dangerous place for ducklings over there! Your nice and appropriately tight composition grants us an enjoyable look at a gaggle of them. Exposure and sharpness are good. Nicely done!
