This is nature! This is life!
I don't think it's too graphic at all, it is how life is and an excellent and perfectly captured shot of this unfortunate moment for the frog. The clarity and detail are amazing and this is just being true to itself! Perfectly timed shot Grace! Well done!

I feel sorry for the frog as well Grace, but I suppose we just have to accept that this is how nature is. You have indeed captured this incident well, and I especially like how the big leaves are framing the bird. The light is also falling on it in a lovely way.

The photo is pin sharp showing really clear and well defined details both in the bird and the poor frog, and the exposure is just perfect.

The format and framing is very good, and the bird is well placed off to the left. A truly well taken photo, and with an excellent DOF.

Must admit its graphic in this, but guess it is nature and the fact you caught this in getting the frog was a bonus, not for the frog though, good shot of nature in the raw...Bria

Yes I like frogs too, especially the yellow-throated bullfrogs in a nearby reed pond that really do sound like lowing bulls. Quite a big morsel for the heron to get down his throat! Great photo all the way around! My admiration as usual. Daphne Oberon

Excellent capture of the Green Heron with the poor frog he's caught - unfortunately that's Nature, isn't it? The heron has an evil glint in his eye - usually I think of them as being a beautiful bird but in this capture it makes you realise that he's not quite so beautiful! Excellent lighting and focus showing a beautifully sharp image. Great composition. Suzanne

Circle of Life! You can't shoot nature without seeing it. No offense here! Really nice focus and detail here. The warm light on the heron and the foliage is lovely. Great stop action scene, Grace.

A very fine shot. From a photographic point of view I think the frog makes a better shot than a fish would. From the lunch's point of view I imagine it is the same.

I don't think that this needs a graphic warning. It is the way of nature we have to accept. The bird has to eat, frog and fish is food for the Heron, no more-no less.
I guess that is the end of the frog, but I have seen some frogs escaping greater danger.
The photo was well taken. Bird and frog are in sharp focus and the depth is perfect. The colors are realistic. The photo has informative and journalistic value and is educating.

Wow, poor frog right enough! It's just life, dinner time for the bird.. a great shot absolutely beautifully captured. The movement and the actual action of the bird can be felt, and the crisp focus is excellent! It's great!
