superb- ofcourse, mars died inside to out- so how long before bugs died too. As always excellently executed, so well-drawn they are quite frightening. Great idea behind all that artistic expression!

Wow the alien bugs are impressive! Perfect composition! It's my privelege to review this talented post and move it to the All Time Best Folder! It's amazing what can be done with sharpies! Mark, your technique is outstanding! You know how to blend sharpies! Thousands of cartoon illustration in the last 50 years! Sounds fantastic and unbelievable! I enjoy your series. I know you're also working on FAN VIDEO. I know that Regina is helping you with that! I want to thank you guys so much for doing that!

Mark,
Yes that approaching "Army" of Martian Beetles does look frightening & something to avoid if possible. Maybe they can be bombarded with super loud Rock Music that hurts their ears & sends them packing back to their lairs when the crew can them soot them with cosmic rays at high velocity & water brought up from earth to drown them. Now my brain is on overdrive! Created by your artist's eye for composition, very skilfil draftsmanship, beautiful choice, blending & application of your colours in bringing the scene to life.

No matter what ones moods are your work always gives me a smile, or makes me downright laugh. This one did both. It's 4:00am here and I just woke my husband up laughing. Your art and title always make my day.
You are one crazy talented artist MK.

I'm loving this whole series Mark. Wish I had time to review them all, but I have seen and enjoyed them. I have a 10 year old granddaughter who is dabbling in sharpie art and I showed her your work. She was very impressed, and maybe you will have some competition in a few years!

Oh heck I always try encourage sharpie and Bic art..I have never had any art classes. My teachers were DC, marvel, warren and heavy metal magazines..lol.. however I have talked to different teachers before and they discouraged my medium.. claiming copic is better.. cause they have more colors and a blender..I laugh and laugh..true sharpie and Bic have limited colors but I know how to mix them.. also I know a few Technics I can do with the sharpie and Bic pens to blend them out without using that expensive blender. Not counting Shading. Really don't want to learn any art medium..heck 1000's of drawings over 50 years I believe I can show those teachers how to draw with them better than them..lol..I'm gonna give you a gift which you can try and show your granddaughter..since your artistic minded I know your gonna understand what I'm gonna say.. these pens are the opposite of art materials...map out your highlights..you can do it with a pencil but be careful not to let your marker cover it because then you can't erase the pencil line..then when your ready to apply ink start with your light colors 1st and then apply your darker colors second...one more hint..the paper is everything..I'm asked about bleeding on the paper.. remember this is a office medium not art..either cardstock paper (ones for computers) or poster board..try it..then show her.. wink..thanks for the awesome review

I don't like this pic! It's creepy! Just no more bugs ! Just...no...more !

Maybe you should do other things that's not bug related !
Maybe a unicorn or a panda bear or better yet a princess or something like that ! That'll be real great don't you think ?

ROFLMAO!! Oh honey..none of those critters are interested in a flower..it's like coming into a middle of a TV show that you have never seen before and don't have a clue of what's going on..I'll give a brief history of him..one of my cartoon series that was born here on FAR is titled Funnie Flowers..after over 400 cartoons and they have 3 music videos too, they built a following on here and other art websites. Songwriter and musician Bryan Taylor, likes these lil fellas.. compared to the other cartoons. Since he releasing a new CD the end of this year him and I are collaborating on 2 videos so far ..the 1st I think you saw cause you review a couple of the drawings..the title of the first one is "Backyard warriors" (you know battle for the feeder birds and mice against the squirrels...this one is titled Mars and beyond..the song is gonna be Bryan's "Speed of time"..now this fella is called a Flowernaut...now what do think would be interested and scary to go after a flower to eat it...hmmmm...lol..I'm not mad but I need to explain the rating system and you click this info to verify on this site...the translation of a 2 star that work is so terrible that it needs work badly... now I know you don't mean that actually if you were that scared then I did a great job on the details. You know there is many images I don't like it or agree with the subject. However, how the work was done and presented I have to be fair to grade it accordingly..like I hate Nazi's..I would tell the artist I hate em, but if there is well done I would still give it the proper review..so now don't you feel foolish? Don't worry..since your a newbie I totally understand. I had to learn it years ago...I know enjoy my huge reviewing points I gave ya..but how about this..did you know that you can go back into that post and review again and change the score? Now if you don't to that's cool...but be careful doing that to the other members cause they may not be as forgiving as I am..they may take that as an attack by you. Wink...thanks anyway for taking of this somewhat review and be careful out there..good luck!

Wow Mark talk about the Horror Channel!

Its a nightmare just look at those menacing looking eyes so very life like those blues and the reds of the bugs really work together in this, full of anger and that insert with that scared looking espression adds to all those emotions!

This would have been a winner item in Macro design - stunning - 6* - fantastic composition and details - the main bug is a macro for sure - giant and I can relate to the fear of the guy loll - your color choice is excellent - the bug looks straight into your eyes and you have to deal with it - great initial impression - awesome job

I like all of the fine details you have added Flood! The bugs look real! All of the lines on the eyes look like they probably took awhile to draw... The initial impact and story telling are great. I am sure we will see more!
