What Eagles Do
Juvenile Bald Eagle Plucking Feathers From seagull17 total reviews

Well, they are raptors so he probably did kill the seagull. This is a depiction of the circle of life. It appears that it was raining as the beach sand is damp as are its feathers.

Mother Nature in the raw. This is part of the cycle. I came out of my house to find the destroyed remains of a red breasted wood pecker the other day. Not sure if it was a cat or bird of prey, but it was torn asunder. Same feeling. Well captured moment. The contrast between the brown eagle and the white seagull couldn't be better planned. Sharp focus on the bird and its eye. Well seen.

Thanks so much Charles! The worst thing that I have seen was an adult eagle swooping down over the bay and pulling a baby otter, it flew right toward me with the baby hanging from its talons!

This is a moment of reality in a very natural setting. The beauty in this capture is that it brings reality to the viewer. The focus is very sharp bringing out the details of all the feathers - - the eagle's and the gull's. - -

Pat,
A beautiful stop action picture of the juvenile Bald Eagle as it plucks the feathers off a freshly killed Gull. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

Quite a stark nature image posted here! Your, full and central composition clearly conveys what has just happened. Exposure and sharpness are OK. Nicely done!

Another example of 'food chain' :) Good timing. Wonder whose lunch the eagle going to be:) The light and shadows, colours and the composition have worked out well. Good effort!
