Love it when babies first leave the nest! Great capture of this young one! Focus on him is perfect! The branches, while leading the eye to the subject are a but distracting as well. Perhaps a closer crop to the bird would not only eliminate this, but show off his beautiful gaze too!
Great shot, thanks for sharing!

SO sweet and with such bright eyes not often seen on FanArt baby birds. This is our state bird (Missouri) so I see them somewhat frequently during the summer, but they are reluctant to pose this well for me. Very nice colors, background, and overall composition.

Back to the birds - I just love all your shots as they are so close and so " real" I mean it looks like I am standing there by myself and not looking at a picture- excellent capture - I love the position and angle and the way he is resting on this small branch
fantastic technical applications and as always perfect in all details -
a nice and harmonious shot with the foliage in the background as natural color contrast - super sharp with a good initial impression, well done

Placement of the bird in the frame is excellent. The photo is sharp; it is clear and contain well defined details of the bluebird. The soft background further enhances the details of the bird. Color and contrast are well managed.

So the babies are growing up! How are you able to watch then as they grow up? They live in your backyard or something? Really cool series.

Thank you! I have been watching a bluebird box that the county has set up near the Mississippi river. I haven't been able to see the babies until they left the nest inside the box :) I've mostly been watching the parent and watching for the babies, lol!

That?s pretty cool. I think I will post some drawing and painting I have done of some birds from when I first got serious about drawing.

Excellent capture, Grace, showing this gorgeous little fledgling Bluebird showing just a hint of blue on his tail. Very good lighting and focus showing a lovely clear image. Excellent composition. Suzanne

The blue of the tail feathers stand out. They drew my attention. The bird is excellently focused. Details are refined. The small fluffed downs beneath the wing are especial interesting. The light in the eye is intriguing. The bird is well placed into the frame. The photo is balanced.

What a pretty little thing it is. I love the fawn spots on its shoulders and the sprouting of the blue tail. I did not know we even had bluebirds here in Florida. Nice to know!

Thank you! There are Eastern bluebirds in Florida, but this one is in Minnesota with me :)
