I am drawn to the wing details you captured in this image. The lower wings are drastically different from the upper wings. I like the white heart shaped spot on the black edge of the top left wing. That yellow flower is splendid.

It is a lovely butterfly you have pictured here Lise, and it could not have picked a better place to land, because the yellow flower is truly pretty. I especially like how nicely the light is falling on the flower and butterfly.

Your photo is nice and sharp showing clear and well defined details both in the flower and the butterfly, and the exposure is spot on.

The tight cropping is perfect and the butterfly has got a very fine placement within the frame. Indeed a lovely and well taken photo with a very good DOF, and I wish you luck with the contest.
