I like the idea here of multifaceted colour patches. It's innovative and has impact . The face is balanced with good structure. I also am trying out gauche also with acrylics. The Masters Academy on the internet is a good source for anatomy drawing techniques. I subscribe, there are plenty of tips without buying tutorials. Good luck in the comp.

An interesting take on portrait painting. I love the colourful treatment.Good anti-dote for dull grey colours! I like the way the colours are in sync with each other. Good luck in the contest!

Wow Linda. This is so very eye catching. The colors are both dramatic and dynamic.
The mix of colors on different parts of the face give this such a nice abstract like look.
I think your experimenting is paying off with some very creative works of art.
Great entry for the contest and I wish you all the best in the voting Linda ~ Steve

This is a great thinking outside of the box painting! It reminds me of your profile picture :) I like that you are always trying new things to grow artistically rather than going stagnant. This is a great display of the human form with good color and patterns.

Strong visual impact , it's the colors that draw the viewer in , I Really like the way you used the colors and the different shapes to show this face and hair and the neck as well, this does show the shape and structure of the female face, I like it, I also very much appreciate the wY you did the background, it's also a variety of the colors and squares and circle shapes yet this woman comes forward very well,I like that you gave her blue eyes , you bring her to life with the creation of them with the reflective light ! Well presented! Best wishes to you in this contest!

I have to admit that this is not exactly my type of art, but I think this is very creative and well done. I like the color pallet, and how you have divided the face into different shapes. I also think the background is working well, and the picture has a string visual impact.
It is well defined shapes and lines, and in all its simplicity it is easy to see that you have paid very good attention to details. I also think your use of guache has worked really well.
The format and framing is perfect and the face has got a fine placement a bit off to the left. It is a fine flow and balance in the composition. An original and well done guache Linda, and I wish you luck with the contest.

Is this your first effort with the GIMP software. Is this young Lady a blonde? She looks like she's having an Alexandria Ocasio - Moment which you captured very well. Nice work . Keep them coming.

I do not know what GIMP software is. Sorry, I am not computer graphics savvy. This is hand painted using guache. Thank you so much for a fine review.

Did you get my message from yesterday ?
-
I just checked. Nope.
-
You didn't get a message in your FAR inbox. NOT a reply to a comment .
-
No. I checked.
-
You were asking how to do my kind of art so I told you.
-
This is what I sent you Doreen. Doreen the reason I asked if you were a stubborn woman is because ANYBODY can do this if they're willing to take the time to learn. Now since I like you if you're stubborn enough to deal with the learning curve then let me know and I'll tell you how to do it AT NO COST for anything to you including the necessary software . Before you answer that though you should know that it took me SIX years to master it to this degree. You could probably do it in four. You know us males hate to read the manuals we like to figure it out for ourselves. The program is excruciatingly complex and not intuitive at all. Please advise ASAP.
