Excellent moon shot in honor of that historic moment. Super detail and perfect lighting. I really like it is not full which adds character to the piece. Well done!

What a wonderful achievement. I remember seeing a special screening of this historic event . I got goosebumps when Armstrong kept his foot on the moon.In the 80s a showman par excellence showed his version of 'Moon walking' which became a rage all over the world. That was a single contribution of MJ. Thanks for sharing a glorious moment in history!

Great photo to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the first time people walked on the moon! Excellent sharpness and exposure. I like how the craters can be seen so clearly.

I was 11 yrs. and had a cold so was made to stay home. Cool! I get to watch TV and see the landing..was cool..then when I go back to school to brag that I saw it..then learned that everyone was called to certain classes that had a TV. Oh well at least I can say I watched it live on TV.. wink..lol. the clarity is great. The angle of the shot of this moon is great. The Capture of the light is great. The image is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. Good eye and great job overall

Wonderful photograph of the moon! No interference in lighting!
Good details in focus! Like the not quite half moon aspect as well.

Really nice shot, and I like the captain you included with it about Apollo 11. The half moon look is very dramatic against the black sky background. Great job on this photograph!

I didn't realize anyone had posted a moon photo till after I posted mine-lol! That's definitely a very well taken picture of the moon,the detail of the lunar landscape is wonderfully sharp,especially in the craters near the dark side. Very well framed and cropped. It's another great image that my father would have enjoyed viewing!

Exposure is very well done. The photo is sharp. It shows clear and well defined details in every aspect of the moon. This is a very well taken photo and commemorates
the event in grand style.

While I find this is a good image fred of the moon,like the dark side in this,it forms a contrast to the rest of the surface,what does bother me slightly is the condescending words,almost as if nobody else has heard of the moon landings except you,i know you like using descriptions of things and they can be quite descriptive of where you took a photo,just feel its not necessary in this case,it might only be my point of view but feel its a valied one,you might not agree but there it is...Brian

    many thanks brian;
    there was a study few days ago at the French TV:
    95% of prople above 60 years knew this event,
    but only 35% of the 20-40 y old..

    your welcome probarly not surprised,recently having watched quite a few quiz shows on English t.v. have noticed that the younger age group you mention don,t no a lot about history etc where as the older age group does,almost as if they don,t teach it in schools,next time you look at French t.v quiz shows you will notice.
    Hope you did not mind my observation on your photo,because over here this week there has been loads of info on the moon landings,so assumed most people would no...Brian
