This is a beautiful look at this lovely Goldfinch! I like the pose, it allows us to see his wings and tail feathers and a good profile of his face. Wonderful light, color, and background.

Love this pose! Such vibrant yellow feathers and orange beak! The bird off center left, but looking hard right us excellent composition. The contrasting color of the plant, and background add to the subject "popping" in this photograph!
Thank you for sharing!

Pretty! I love the coloring of the Goldfinch! This is a nice angle that showcases the black on his wings. I like the blurred background as well. It looks really good.

he's definitely like a ray of sunshine on a cloudy day,so nice of him to give you such a lovely pose! he stands out so well from the dark background and makes a wonderful initial impact. We have a small wild apple tree near our tube feeder that they like to perch in ,awaiting their turn. When the tree is bare, they look like so many golden yellow ornaments scattered throughout!

Your first sentence has got me singing that song :) Thank you for your nice comments! I would like seeing them looking like ornaments when that tree is bare - sounds really nice :)

A well focused capture of this Goldfinch. I knew just by the color what kind of bird this was. The blurred background allows the bird to be in focus. Nice clarity and angle of view. Thanks for sharing

Grace,
A beautiful picture of this male American Goldfinch his head turned to get a better look at you & maybe admire his reflection in your lens. His golden plumage glowing in the sunlight & contrasting well with the dark green background.

A really lovely shot again - I love the position of the bird showing his beautiful design and you took advantage - the side portrait is perfect to make it a really attractive picture
Technically excellent presentation, clear and sharp, perfect exposure - contrast and lighting, I think this close up green blurred background lets the bird stand out in perfection as no leaf distracts
a well composed picture with good DOF and great initial impact

This is a well focused shot. The image is very clear. Exposure is well managed. Background color also is well managed to make the goldfinch stand out. Overall, well composed.
