I think this must be one of the most delicate looking Iris flower I have ever seen, and the pale pink colors are truly lovely. I like the simplicity of the photo, and how well the flower is standing out from the nicely softened background.

The photo is very sharp and it is very clear and well defined details to be seen in all the petals. The exposure is just spot on.

The cropping is working well, and the Iris has got a very good placement within the frame. A truly beautiful and well taken photo with an excellent DOF, and I wish you luck with the contest.

Thanks Annie, took a while to respond to your comment. We just completed a move to a new house. Quite the comment if it is "one of the most delicate Iris flower I have ever seen". That was nice to hear and super glad you liked it. At the Arboretum they are always developing new hybrids as research and we often see the results before the rest of the world! :)

    Many thanks.

Hi Allan, this is a spectacular shot of this gorgeous iris, I had no idea that this color iris existed! This is well photographed with beautiful focus, the image is clear, exposure is well managed, the pink to white tones are so beautiful and appear natural. I see wonderful detail on each of the petals, I love the frilly edges, this is so fresh and clean, it makes me want to go find this type of iris and plant it in my yard! I like the way you have placed this flower in the frame and the soft green background pushes it forward in such a lovely way! This is beautiful work! Best wishes to you in this contest!

Thanks a ton for the high rating. Coming from your eye, that is really meaningful. We have an Arboretum locally that does research in cooperation with the Univ. of Minnesota. As a result we get some interesting plants. Even though we live in a cold, cold climate we now can grow cold hardy Azaleas, Magnolias and many varieties of grapes. Even this flower was a result of cross breeding. Likely not yet available on the market place.

Many thanks and glad you liked it!
