What an interesting mating ritual. I did not know about indirect insemination and delayed fertilization. Great commentary.

The photo is well balanced with the subjects placed in the center of interest. Colors are well done especially blues of the top damselfly.

the male says "whats wrong?"...she whispers.."they're watching!"..lol..lordy..the clarity is great. the angle of the shot of these bugs mating is great. the capture of the light is great. the image is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. good eye and great job overall.

Amazing photo that came with an interesting explanation. I recently reviewed your lone dragonfly type thing and I see as the story goes on here he ended up getting"lucky". And you we're fortunate to find this going on and where to get such an incredible image. The contortions they are able to do are quite surprising! Firstly, thanks for the education on the sex life of the damselfly. I especially liked the info regarding the "heart". Focus is sharp showing clear and well defined details of both "flies". Color and lighting also are very good.
