A gorgeous portrait of the Bald Eagle. I like how well you captured the eye....nice expression captured. Very well photographed in good lighting, sharp focus, and outstanding details and clarity in your image. Your diffused background compliments your work beautifully. Outstanding work and thanks for sharing.

This is a great capture! The eagle looks very majestic and wise. I'm really glad she was able to be rescued, because a wing injury to these guys can be debilitating. Great work once again!!

Poor eagle. Wow! 26 years old. Unfortunate wing injury. You captured a great photo of her with a clear image. I'm sure she misses flying but at least she's being cared for. Thanks for sharing

Wow what a sad and happy story at once - as I see it from her perspective to live 26 years without flying high but happy to live
your shot is wonderful - excellent close up - perfect use of space - special angle and position - the over the should look shows her beautiful face with stunning white eyes
your picture is clear and sharp with genuine contrast and lighting
a nice composition and special story, thanks for sharing

Thank you for your great comments! I agree that it is sad, bittersweet I guess. I can't imagine any winged creature not being able to fly, hopefully they do in their dreams.

A beautiful bird, her injury not withstanding, and a very nice photo too. A fine profile portrait with great colors and excellent detail in the white feathers.

Grace,
A wonderful portrait of this magnificent Bald Eagle America's emblem her pale eye fixed on something ahead of it it dangerous looking hooked golden beak shining in the light falling on it. It's plumage puffed out Maybe to make other birds around it fear it's size. Beautiful composition framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus.
