I love low key and black and white Photography because I feel they evoke more and draws one in. Your choice of black and white was a good one.
Fine focus, great contrast and fine timing of the one laying down with it's mouth open showing its large lower molars, while the other looks on with a shy like look. Your focus is sharp, white balance controlled showy fine details and clarity.
Fine Capture GEM2 ;)

Thank you Sange :) I thought the interaction was interesting - and those teeth are crazy sharp looking!

They also have sharp teeth, probably to crunch the unripe fruits. You captured excellent detail and used natural light well to emphasize them. The photo has good depth and is well composed, balanced and framed.

Cool,Grace!
'The Doldrums'!
That makes me think of things like 'the Dog Days of August' or ' The Horse Latitudes' a place off the northwestern coast of Africa -if I remember correctly-where European sailing vessels 'way back in the day' ( like in the seventeenth century ) after becoming becalmed to the point where they were running desperately low on supplies of fresh water to sustain their crews, would force their compliment of horses overboard just to keep their human crews hydrated and alive until
( hopefully! ) a wind would spring up and the ship could sail on again!
( That historical note doesn't 'paint a very pretty picture' but it fascinates an old eccentric sort like me who possesses a 'dark imagination' anyway! : ) )
Okay,I rambled way off the topic of your photo,my friend! ( I'm sorry! )
While monkeys and apes kind of 'creep me out' your photo of these critters, which has an interesting and impressive 'Antique' look to it brought on by the classy 'B & W' coloration mode that you've skillfully applied to it ) is Awesome!
An Outstanding presentation! : D

Hahaha! No need to apologize :) The fate of the horses does create a dark visual, but very interesting. I'm glad this one causes a pleasant reaction, and I appreciate the six stars :) Thank you!

CATNAP ALERT LEVEL 10 !!! Getting tired of the avians so now you're moving on to the simians E ? Well you certainly caught this guy grabbing a cat nap. Nice picture I think the black and white gave it an interesting perspective.

Another amazing work of art from you. These Monkees are gorgeous in Black and White with a lot of contrast. Their pose and facial expressions are so relatable! Great composition... However did you convince themb to stay like that for you;-)
