I see the horn on the beak. I guess its for protection in fights with others. You captured good detail. All the white feathers of the bird are also well defined. I like how they are fluffed up. The colors are excellently natural. The blue water emphasizes the bird nicely. The reflections in the water are intriguing. The Pelican is well placed into the frame. The composition is balanced.

Very sharply focused photo. The white balance is excellent. In conjunction with the focus brings out the details of the feathers beautifully. I have only seen these pelicans in FL once, and they sure are bigger than the native ones. Nicely done, Grace.

nice composition - technically excellent in all detail's -
I love the feathers standing in all directions as that is the special point in this shot - normally they are well arranged but seems he did not wanted to do his morning toilet loll - a cute one
