This is a wonderful shot of the pelican.. You have framed it well. The light and shadows, colours and the composition have worked out well. Good effort!

Now that's a beak! Interesting information you provided about this kind of pelican. I find the beak protrusion for marrying season to be fascinating. Beautiful water with a lovely reflection under the pelican. Lovely photograph!

Hi Grace!
That's a fine looking picture of this large marine bird,my friend!
The projection on it's beak makes me think of the similar structure that's been discovered on the 'beaks' ( or probably they're more accurately described as being 'the muzzles' ) of certain types of prehistoric dinosaurian mega fauna which were distant ancestors of pelicans and other large
types of modern birds!
'Good Show',my friend!

Outstanding capture with superb white balance control in the bright sun. This proves it can be done with zero excuses in camera. Your focus is Razor sharp with excellent eye clarity and crisp details.
The blue rippling water and his slight Reflection are both great.
A fine capture taken with fine skill behind your Tonka Greenie!
Bravo!

Fantabuloustic!! Excellent every way, including the choice of the subject, the presentation, colors and tones, depth, sharpness and clarity!!! The reflections of the pelican in the water is a nice addition. The notes explain the horn, I learned something new, (excellent notes as always) and yes, I chose six stars rating and you deserved that, my friend!!!
