You did get a clear capture of this little guy's face and the colors of his feathers can be seen nicely. Those wings are moving pretty fast! You'd need a much higher shutter speed to try to stop the action of those.

which I am not sure how to stop a shutter speed, I just click and shoot, thanks though,,he is in flight as the contest suggests

In my experience they are one of the most aggressive birds. I saw one chase a bluejay all the way across the lake. A very nice shot of this female although shot at too slow a shutter speed to stop the wings. I like the bit of tongue.

I like how well you captured the eye and the catch light in its eye. Good camera techniques and nice stop action shot. Very well photographed in good lighting, sharp focus, and good details and clarity in your image. It does take a lot of patience to catch these gorgeous birds. Beautiful work and thanks for sharing.
