How wonderful to be so close and to get such nice shots. The details of the feathers and the cute little face look great. The colors are also well exposed.

Interesting info notes...

Superb up close and very personal.
Cute exotic wildlife subject.
EyeCATching image!

Here, birds are so elusive...

Subdued illumination. Subtle earth tones.
Compact framing.
Nice perspective & narrow DOF.

Thanks for sharing...

This is hands-down the cutest bird photo I've ever seen. I love the golden color on her breasts and face. Will she stay that color? I've personally never seen a robin of those colors. I guess I probably wouldn't think it was a robin. Pardon me if I'm being ignorant. The focus and composition are great and I like that decaying leaf in front of the bird.

    Lora,
Thanks a million for your complementary review on this little Robin going through it's post breeding moult. The European Robin is half the size of your American Robin. Our Robin is a Flycatcher, while your American Robin is a Thrush & is closely related to both our Thrushes & our Blackbird.

Indeed this looks very close. The bird is excellent focused. I do see the new feathers pushing out the old ones. I appreciate the realistic colors. The natural light emphasizes the bird attractively. The composition is balanced. The tight square framing is adequate.

I love this bird! He looks so peaceful. Like he's watching everything go on around him. It's beautiful. You can see all the different shades of color and the feathers going different directions. Great shot, great job!

    Regina,
Thanks a million for your complementary review on this Robin.
European Robins while very territorial with other Robin are not afraid of Humans especially those who feed them. Some people can have them feeding out of their hands.
