Thanks for use of this stunning photo--it makes whimsical company for my story BIRD WATCHER GETS THE BIRD where a man is mistaken for a peeping Tom. Credit in notes. Cheers. LIZ

A nice capture on the blue jay. The colors are very nice. However, to me the cropping feels all wrong hence the 4 stars. For a headshot it should be tighter or zoom out some and include the whole bird. I really do like the details on the bird and the action taking place. Thanks for sharing.

Very nice image of this blue jay, yes, they do have a tendency to make a rather loud and flashy prescence. I have some young jays that come to feed, and they are very subdued compared to the adults. Great focus and exposure, good natural colors,a lovely contest entry,I wish you all the best!

Beautiful placed in the frame. The focus is very sharp showing clear and well defined details of the blue jay. Lighting, contrast and white balance work well together to make the details vivid and the colors natural. Beautiful portrait. My understanding is that the screech of the blue jay emulates that of a hawk contributing to pandemonium at the feeders.
