I probably would not have spotted the bug in the center, he blends right in color-wise. The flower is pretty, but it's the shape of the bud on the right that I find most interesting.

Nice close up shot of this sunflower. The clarity is perfect and angle of view is excellent. Sharp focus and very well detailed with the wavy petals and insect inside. Thanks for sharing

I have come to love viewing your photo images Grace. This is simplistic beauty at its best. A beautiful flowing yellow flower and bud with clear crisp details and lovely light. Wonderful composition and a pleasure to view!

I love this photo! I also love how the petals are curved. Gives it a different look then the standard open flower! Camo looking background is neat! If that is the same flower next to it, that's pretty cool, you have a before and after picture! Great job! Good luck :-)

A very nice shot posted here. Sorry, I cannot offer an opinion on naming the insect. Exposure and sharpness are good. Nicely taken!

Thank you very much Nik! Sean has identified it as an Ambush bug, which I had not seen before.

The flower and the bud are excellent focused. The details and textures are remarkably sharp. I see the small insect at the center, but I cannot identify it either. The colors are realistic. The yellow looks beautiful with the greens. Flower and bud are standing out nicely from the shallow background. The photo is well composed, balanced and framed.

Excellent close up, Grace, showing this beautiful Sunflower with its unusual insect in the centre. I love the way the petals curl and that you've included a bud in the shot, too. Excellent lighting and focus showing a lovely sharp image. Great composition. Suzanne

An unusual form created by the breeze I suppose. I have absolutely no idea about the insect! Nice colourful shot. The light, and the composition have worked well. Good effort!

Supercalifragilisticexpialidosh!
I like the Clarity and simplicity of this lovely flower swaying in the breeze with it's Best Bud by its side. It has a dreamy look and your DOF is Sa-wa-eeeeet.
The added insect was the bonus to add a bugs life to the shot.
Your focus, white balance Control and clarity are all working here.
It's a dreamy capture Monty...
Well done :)

Thank you Sange!! I thought the bud looked interesting and reminds me a little of poppy buds - before they turn into dangling participles!

Ooooh another simple and fantastic presentation - this macro is handsome in details and I specially love the tiny bud with his excellent design in a closed state
great frame choice , super contrast and genuine natural lighting - the softness in the Background enhances your flower heads and lets them stand out very well
A beautiful composition, striking in its simplicity
