This is really a wonderfully composed image, Steve, showcasing the 'beauty' un the 'beast' ! The lighting is gorgeous, illuminating and accentuating those wondrous rows of suction cups. Really bummed that my internet is down and I can only view this on my phone!

Visually strong.....your gorgeous sharp details of the Octopus draws us into your photography. Your light and shadows are beautifully captured or created. Very well photographed in good lighting, sharp focus, and outstanding details and clarity in your image. Your post-processing work is stunning. Your lighting on this is so appealing. An artistic composition. A creative and outstanding work and thanks for sharing.

I think this is Wicked cool and extremely rare and unique.
You have a fine capture with great color, but when you view the correct size it is grainy and not sharp. I understand you were shooting through glass and that is a challenge with cellphones. With a camera you must lay the lens hood flush onto the glass so you force your lens to shoot beyond the glass and focus on your subject.
The white hot spots take away from the beauty of this and I would have spent the time cloning each spot out.
I am not a member of the high five/gain coin fast club. I find all the complaining on Far about wanting change to be hypocritical as change will only happen when We the members change. That means giving honest reviews.
So I applaud your great creative eye for seeing and taking this octopus close up.
But I like to see the focus and white balance controlled better.
Sorry Captain, I am not going to join a club that helps no one grow in their work.
I go out every day trying to learn and improve behind my lens.
Photography is all about the light, so for me white balance is top priority in mastering.
Light is always the thing we chase and run towards after all.
Like our Master Above.

Nice mixed media modifications.

Nice capture of the octopus. A great abstract view not often seen. It is quite grainy in the shadows, but iPhones are not really known for their lowlight performance, I guess. The colors are really nice.
