This is a nice pose that she gave you. The underside of the wings look so nice. I also really like how well the water droplets on her belly stand out so sharply. The colors are well exposed too.

This is a wonderful shot of lady mallard. Looks as though she is learning some new dance step!. You have timed it well. The light and shadows, colours and the composition have worked out well. Good effort!

Mallards are so common that you rarely see them with bands on their legs. I like this composition; the ruffled wings and the water drops on her belly add considerable interest.

The ruffled wing and the look on her face, which you have captured so well, set this photo apart from others of female mallards. There is a story here which you also have told so well. So well done in every regard.

Pat,
A beautiful picture of thislittle Mallard duck flapping her wings as she comes out of the pond exposing the fluffy white feather under them. The two identity rings seen clearly on her ankles. The sun highlighting her speckled breast & orange legs & feet & catching the sparkle in her eye. the dark blue of the pond's water making the perfect backdrop. beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.
