I had just written a review on this but my secret satan, BAD GATE just wiped it all off, so here goes again. I find the dozens of fires in the AMAZON area horrific. Also yesterday I saw a film of a machine which loggers use, it cuts the tree, de-branches it, the cuts it into workable lengths, all in five minutes. I feel if serious super-strict laws are not enforced soon, there will be no more forests. Beautiful photograph. Of all my 74 years, what stand out most in my memory-filing-cabinet are frosty mornings. There is something delicious about them! Red sky by night in Alsaska too!

I like to get a beach chair and just plant myself in that frost!
I am counting the days till October! Spring! This has been the most Putrid hottest yr I ever experienced in 39 yrs.
A fine view of Frost and tiny tracks in the shape of a sideways V.
Great focus, controlled white balance and fine look and feel of beauty and solitude in nature.
Stop and feel the frost!
Nicely done Miss Alaska ;)

Looks like a painting with the icy mountains and beautiful colourful sunset sky beyond. It has a warm look to it with the reflected golden light, rather than stark.
I may have cropped the foreground space a little (but that is me).
A wonderful capture and a delight to view!

Warm illumination somewhat heats up the palpable frosty overtone.

Vanishing viewpoint lends a greater depth...

Nostalgic image.
A deafening silence!

Tranquil dusk...
Monochromatic flora...

Good perspective & long depth of field...
Thanks for sharing...

Now that's unique and beyond words. I mean I don't know what to say it is so unusual and so satisfyingly beautiful. Your eyes get to see many beautiful sights that's for sure. I enjoy seeing them vicariously through you in your photos! Look at that sky! Look at it all!

This reminds me of those many many days over the last three years sitting outside in the freezing cold at 4:00 A.M. waiting to photography the dawn for my 14 fans. Beautiful but DAMN cold. Have you ever noticed Queen that the skies seem to be more colorful in the cold weather ?

Wonder how fires could start in such a cold and icy looking location? I am asking this as a Brit who rarely sees such conditions! Your attractive photo is well composed with good exposure and sharpness. Nicely done!

Thanks so much, actually this is from last winter, we have had the very worst year this year for wildfires, they just got them under control and over the weekend, we had some high winds that activated the fires and they are burning again now!

Wonder why the fires keep breaking out?
reply by the author on 21-Aug-2019
Some were started by lightning strikes, some were from trees falling from the wind and hitting power lines and some by careless people who didn?t put out their camp fires before they left camp, it?s been a very warm and dry summer here.

Now I am getting the picture of what is going on over there. Many thanks!!

I see the frost on the plants. There are tiny foot prints to the cluster of dry plants in the foreground. Some little creatures seem to eat them. The contradiction of the wintry scenery and the beautiful warm orange and yellow colors of the sky is appealing. The reflection of orange on the mountains in the background is intriguing. The photo is well composed and framed.
