Wow - those bright orange eyes are amazing! He could probably freeze prey in their tracks just by staring at them! Great notes too - 6.5 feet! Wow!

Thank you! They are so orange they barely look real. I actually thought about trying to tone down the color.

Great photo, great write up and awe inspiring subject! Owls do remind one of cats sometimes, though I think that although they have 3 eyelids owl pupils are always circular, whereas cats have vertical pupils. Somehow the feathers on this owl make me think of a Maine Coon Cat... Beautiful eyes on this owl. Thanks for sharing! Daphne Oberon

Owls do remind one of cats sometimes, though I think that although they have 3 eyelids owl pupils are always circular, whereas cats have vertical pupils.
